Local Museum Gets New Board

New members have been appointed by Judge Larry Joe Jenkins to serve on the Board for the Camp Breckinridge Museum and Arts Center.

Members are Vicki O'Nan, Rebecca Meacham, Lawrence Strehle, Vicki Rickets, Maribeth Logsdon, L.K. "Bouncer" Shields, Ruth Heffington, and John Crosby.

Advisors to the Board are Judge Executive James Veatch,ret., Joe Clements and Joe Wells.

Mrs. O'Nan represents the Fiscal Court, Ms. Meacham stands for District 3, and Mrs. Rickets for District 1. Mrs. Rickets will also serve as facility manager. L.K. "Bouncer" Shields represents District 4 and John Crosby, District 5 as well as Earle C. Clements Job Corps Center.

Mrs. Heffington and Mr. Strehle will represent the Historical Society and Mrs. Logsdon will represent the Union County Arts Council.

In the Board's November 8 meeting, Vicki O'Nan was elected President, Rebecca Meacham Secretary, and Mr. Strehle, treasurer.

Committees have been set up for publicity, hospitality, membership and organization.

Publicity will handle publicizing the Center, hospitality will plan the dedication ceremony, membership will work with sponsors for the Center and organization will oversee setting up the foundation to run the Center.

The Board is looking for volunteers to help with their committees.
