Reunion


Welcome to the 3rd Camp Breckinridge Reunion! The reunion is for all those who were stationed at the camp during the twenty-year life of the camp, their spouse, family, and friends. This includes WWII Veterans, Korean War Veterans, and Viet Nam Veterans. We are trying to reach as many Camp Breckinridge Veterans as we can, but if you know a Veteran who wishes to come with you, they are also welcome.

The reunion will be held at the James D. Veatch Museum Camp Breckinridge Museum & Arts Center. This building was once one of the three service clubs on the camp property. You may have visited during the 40's as the NCO club or during the 50's as the Officer's Club. The club was renovated during 1999 and opened for business in April of 2000. The club now houses the Museum, Historical Society, Arts Council, Genealogy, and Community Theater.

  • ENTERTAINMENT:

    • Two full days of activities, food, music, and tours is being planned. If there is enough interest, we will tour the LST in Evansville, IN.

  • ACCOMMODATIONS:

    • All reservations should be made by September 3, 2007.

        When calling for reservations, please state that you are with the "Camp Breckinridge Reunion" to assure the room rate of $65.00 per night. Boarding the casino boat is free.

      • HOMETOWN INN: 1-270-389-9848 in Morganfield, Kentucky.
        Located at 551 US Hwy. 60 West. The room rate is $55.00 per night for double occupancy.

      • CAMPER AND RV PARKING: 270-333-4845 Morganfield, Kentucky.
        Moffitt Lake Recreation, Bordley-Boxville Road.

      • AUDUBON STATE PARK CAMPING AREA: 270-826-5939 in Henderson, Kentucky on US Hwy. 41 North.

  • TRANSPORTATION:

      • Arriving at the Evansville Regional Airport 812-421-4400: The Casino Aztar has free complimentary van service to the hotel. When making your reservations give the desk clerk your arrival time and flight information.

      • Arriving by car at the Casino Aztar Hotel: The Casino Aztar has free parking. Their main entrance is Level 2 but all floors are accessible by elevator.

      • Transportation to the reunion: Buses will pick up at the Casino Aztar Bus Station each morning of the reunion for those needing transportation to the reunion. There will be parking on the reunion site for those who wish to drive. Transportation from the reunion will be provided at the close of the reunion each day.

  • CANCELLATIONS:

      • If you need to cancel for any reason, your money will be refunded in full. We would like you to pay early so we can start to estimate and prepare for the amount to be attending.
